Liz’s leadership and organisational development consultancy draws on the knowledge and experience gained from earlier professional roles in educational, therapeutic and business settings.

Her business and goal focused approach is underpinned by an in-depth understanding of learning and of inter-personal and group complexity. This has proved to be highly valued in her consultancy work. Particular areas of interest and experience are interventions focusing on:

• Power, Influence and Persuasion
• Managing Change and Transition
• Building and Developing Teams

Liz regularly delivers large scale Leadership programmes. She is an experienced Business and Life Coach; Action Learning Set Facilitator and also provides Action Learning Set Facilitator training.

Liz works across the Public, Private and Third Sector.

A significant part of Liz’s activity is in Health. In recent years she has combined her independent consultancy with senior roles in the NHS. She was a Leadership and Organisational Development Lead at an Acute Trust and the Regional Lead for Leadership Development at a Strategic Health Authority.
Significant achievements in these roles have been: the engagement of senior clinicians in leadership development; the growth of leadership capacity and capability within organisations and the facilitation of consultative processes to determine SHA Strategy for leadership development.
Currently Liz is working with the North of England Commissioning Board and co-delivering large scale medical leadership programmes at Central Manchester University Hospitals Trust

For the last seven years Liz has also enjoyed working in Higher Education. She coaches Deans, Directors, Assistant Deans and Academic staff, whilst regularly delivering workshops as part of Leadership programmes. Earlier in her career Liz taught in schools, colleges, Higher and Adult Education. She draws on this contextual experience and perspective when working in this sector.

In the private sector, Liz has worked with SMEs, Social Entrepreneurs, The British and US Armed Forces. She was part of a team delivering programmes for the Dutch based Bank ING in Holland. This was developed in conjunction with Trinity College Dublin and the ING Business School. She worked with international senior managers to develop skills in driving and delivering new ways of working in a culturally diverse and fast changing environment.

The application of MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator) to development underpins much of Liz’s work. She is accredited in both Step I and II. Liz is an active member of BAPT and takes opportunities to attend and contribute to conferences and webinars.

Liz draws on Emotional Intelligence models and Transactional Analysis concepts to support and challenge high achieving professionals in the further development of their leadership and management capability.
As part of her continued professional development Liz undertook an Institute of Leadership and Management accredited programme of study focusing on the development and application of TA concepts to business and organizational settings.

Liz is accredited / licensed in the following psychometric and diagnostic tools: Firo Element B; MTRi; Belbin Team Roles; ELLI (The Effective Lifelong Learning Inventory) and a number of 360 Appraisal instruments: the NHS Leadership Framework; TLQ / Integration and MRG’s LEA (Leadership Effectiveness Analysis)
